Beerwah State School was opened in 1888. It is situated amongst the spectacular Glass House Mountains in Queensland, Australia. The traditional owners of the area are the Gubbi Gubbi language group. Many Aboriginal people gathered in this area for ceremonies and trading. This place is considered spiritually significant, with many ceremonial sites still present and protected today.

Our school motto is "Strive to excel" which highlights our expectation and drive to see every student achieve their best. We have "Kandoo Kangaroo" as our mascot, which promotes our values of being safe, respectful and an active learner. The school currently has 300  students enrolled from Years Prep to 6. We have a Special Education Program and an Early Childhood Development Program catering for students with identified / anticipated disabilities.

Links are maintained with Beerwah State High School and other local schools through our membership of the Glass House Coalition of State Schools. This connection provides our school with a great wealth of additional education, knowledge and expertise, as well as providing opportunities for professional learning.

Our staff are committed to enhancing the development of each student's skills, knowledge and ways of working to assist them to become life-long learners.
