Volunteering benefits everyone involved. Students benefit from the support of volunteers who bring life skills, expertise, knowledge and diversity to a range of activities within our school.
Here at Beerwah SS, we value our volunteers and there are many ways to volunteer your time within our school. Our volunteers manage our tuckshop and uniform shop, fundraising, sport, catering, Busy Bees working bees and various events such as Arts Week, Concert and our Community Easter Egg Hunt.
Volunteers need to sign in at the school office or with the event co-ordinator (out of school hours) in order to satisfy insurance requirements.
Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden
The SAKG program provides students with the opportunities to explore the curriculum in the garden or kitchen context. Pleasurable food education teaches Australian children positive food habits through fun, hands-on learning. Each area is led by a staff member and extra hands are always welcome.
