The school day is 8:55am to 2:55pm.
Staggered starts for Prep to Year 3 will be continuing for Term 1 2022. The P-3 school day is 8:50am to 2:50pm. This means the Prep students should be dropped off to staff at the gate from 8:30am. Students in Years 1 to 3 will be able to walk straight through to the Undercover Area where a staff member is on duty. The P-3 teachers will continue to walk students to the gate and assist with transition.
The Undercover Area is the main waiting area before school. At 8.30am students waiting in the Undercover Area move into their class lines and ensure they are ready when their class teacher collects them. Before 8.30am students may sit with friends. Students have permission for handball if the handball courts in the area are clear. Students may also change their library book from 8.30am on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Break times are 11-11:30am and 1-1:40pm. If parents/carers need to collect students for an appointment it should be done at these times. Student pick up at other times should only be for urgent circumstances as it is an interruption to class learning.
In the afternoon the priority for Stop Drop Go between 2:50pm and 2:55pm is families who have only students in Prep to Year 3. Helping Hands staff collect P-3 students from Stop Drop Go. For parents/carers who have students in P-3 and others in the upper grades they should aim to pick up from 2:55pm. Students in years 4-6 who have siblings in P-3 will be dismissed first from class when the bell goes and should walk quickly to Stop Drop Go.
