We have a lunch time activity for novices and budding chess champions. Each Wednesday lunch time several students join together in the Multi-Purpose room to have a game of chess. We score the games, but the sessions are more about the game, not the winning.
Students are encouraged to compete in the annual Sunshine Coast Inter-school Chess Tournament. This gives the students a chance to compete against a mixture of players from other schools and gain further skills in the game. The tournament has an individual and team competition.
